Joseph Stampf was the winningest coach in Chicago men's basketball history with 208 victories, as well as a .638 winning percentage and two NCAA postseason tournament berths, from 1957-75.  He also enjoyed an outstanding playing career for the Maroons from 1938-41 and capped his career as the Big Ten scoring leader in 1940-41.
