How
my student-athlete experience prepared me for where I am today
"Sports
were always part of my life. They made me competitive, independent,
and gave me the willingness to stand up to criticism, discrimination,
etc."
My
most memorable moment as a University of Chicago athlete
"I can't remember an especially memorable moment,
but as captain of the fencing and softball teams I enjoyed each
win. I didn't live on campus, but rode my bicycle from 69th and
Stony Island to the campus each day, so that kept me in good shape.
Sometimes the wind was so strong I had to get off and push the bike."
What
I am doing today, and how I got there
"I'm retired now but am showing my dogs, Manchester
Terriers. We made the group at the National Dog show in November
and will be showing at Westminster in February. " |
