How my student-athlete experience prepared me for where I am today
"It taught me leadership (I was president of WAA) and cooperation and the ability to deal with athletics as something you DO, not who you ARE."

My most memorable moment as a University of Chicago athlete
"I have two: (1) Playing in three basketball games on the same day. This was during a 'tournament' hosted by U of C which included several colleges participating. After all was done, I slept for 22 hours. I do not recommend this. Also, I scored 33 points in an intramural game; (2) We would play the Navy women Great Lakes every year at a 'warm up' for the all-services tournament. Each time we would dutifully lose and were treated to a wonderful steak dinner at the officer's mess. The third year, we WON (and were cheered by the male sailors). No steak dinner and we walked to the train station."

Memories of being a student-athlete I would like to share
"Friendship, how to 'share' with your teammates, cooperation and fun!"

What I am doing today, and how I got there
"Today I am a retired attorney, working pro-bono for the Greek Orthodox Archdioceses and president of the National Council of Churches, USA. How I got here is a long story!"
