How my student-athlete experience prepared me for where I am today
"It taught me the value of persistence. Sports training has a direct carry over into business and other parts of life. When things don't go well, it doesn't mean you let up or easily quit."

My most memorable moment as a University of Chicago athlete
"I enjoyed the fellowship of the other athletes, meeting world class athletes (Jesse Owens, Bob Hayes, Tom O'Hara, Dave Mellady, Willy May, Willie White to name a few), knowing the athletic staff (Ted Haydon), and running in bit meets with the team. Beating Northwestern in dual meets two years in a row was fun.
I regret never truly being able to say how much I appreciated Coach Haydon's influence to him face-to-face before he died."

What I am doing today, and how I got there
"Today I run an electronics company and coach high school and junior high track."
