My
most memorable moment as a University of Chicago athlete
"Anchored winning mile relay team (Chicago Relays),
1948. Won
5 events in 103° heat in St. Louis vs. Wash U (100, 220, 440,
low hurdles, mile relay). Captain
of Ted Haydon's first team as head coach."
Memories
of being a student-athlete I would like to share
"After competing in the Big 10 at Chicago, I learned
how much fun and satisfaction there was in being a student-athlete
in an institution that kept its priorities straight. Spreading the
gospel ever since has unfortunately been totally frustrating. "
What
I am doing today, and how I got there
"I am retired from practice and teaching internal
medicine. I was elected as a Master of the American College of Physicians,
and achieved the academic level of Distinguished Clinical Professor." |
