Scott Lich

Scott Lich

Men's Soccer / Defender / Freshman / Jonesborough, Tenn.

Major: Economics

Scott Lich is a freshman defender for the UChicago men's soccer team. Starting at his right back position, Lich helped the Maroons shut out the top offense in the nation - No. 1-ranked Calvin College - by a 2-0 margin. The next evening, the Maroons advanced past Emory University in penalty kicks to reach the NCAA semifinals for the second time in program history. Lich tallied assists in both games as well.

Head Coach Mike Babst: "Scott had the game-winning assist against Calvin, and assisted on our goal against Emory. He was a warrior all weekend, tirelessly defending and getting forward to help in the attack. He was a big part of us only giving up one goal in 200 minutes this weekend, and helping us advance to the Final Four."
