Basketball Rules
3-on-3 Basketball
is a half court game played by two teams of three players each, including
a maximum of one substitute.
Games will be played
to 15 fifteen points, win by two, cap of 21. Each basket will be worth
one point. Shots made from behind the three-point line will be awarded
two points.
Time outs:
Substitutions:
- At a dead ball,
made basket, foul shot.
Ball Possession:
- Changes hands after
every made basket.
- Penalty: 1 team
warning, next infraction-change of possession.
Check After:
- Made baskets, Dead
balls, Foul shot. Ball must be checked by the defense and passed in.
- Penalty: 1 team
warning, next infraction- change of possession.
Defensive rebounds
or steals:
- Ball must be returned
behind the three-point line extended, both feet must be behind the line.
- Penalty: Change
of possession.
Fouls: All
common, personal, and technical fouls shall count against a team total.
A free throw will be awarded on a team's seventh team foul. An individual
player may not foul out of the game, but may be ejected by the court monitor
or supervisors.

Court Monitors:
Duties include determining
possession (coin toss), scoring, time-outs, enforcement of penalties and
ejections, and final ruling on foul calls by participants. Court monitors
may assess technical fouls and eject players for physical and verbal abuse
to players or monitors.
Supervisors:
Shall have the power
to make all decisions in conjunction with tournament director on any points
not specifically covered in the rules or guidelines. May assess technical
fouls and eject players for physical and verbal abuse to players or monitors.
