Independent, Graduate Men, Women and Coed. All regular season games will
be played on the Midway Ice Rink, located on the Midway Plaisance. The
regular season will consist of a round robin tournament with each team
playing once per week, weather permitting. Playoffs will be a seeded tournament.
Any games played after the first round will be single elimination. During
playoffs, teams may be required to play more than one game per week and
on days and times different from regular season games.

GOVERNING RULES
All intramural contests shall be governed by IM rules unless otherwise
noted in rulebooks available at the Intramural Office, Rm 139 Ratner Center.
Schedules will also be posted on the web site at the conclusion of the
entry period.
EQUIPMENT
The Intramural Sports program provides helmets, brooms and ball. Students
are required to wear equipment during participation. Additional equipment
such as shoes, gloves, WARM clothing are highly recommended and personal
items.
INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURES
In the event of inclement weather, teams will be contacted
via email - approximately one hour (1 hour) before game time for procedures.
Teams will receive an email if games have been canceled. No games will
be made up due to the cost of ice time.
FORFEIT POLICY
Teams should arrive 10 minutes before game time to complete
score sheets. A team can begin and play the contest with fewer players
than the official rules specify without forfeiting the contest. A grace
period of five (5) minutes is allotted for each team. This means that
a team has until five minutes after the scheduled starting time to get
the game started. After five minutes have elapsed, the team ready to play
at the scheduled starting time will be awarded possession.
ALCOHOL AND SPORTSMANSHIP POLICY
No alcohol is to be consumed before or during participation, or brought
onto the fields. The Office of Recreation believes that participation
in recreational sports is a positive healthy experience that provides
enjoyment to participants and alcohol use can hinder good sportsmanship.
To foster health benefits and maximize enjoyment for participants and
student staff, consuming alcoholic beverages before participation is a
violation of recreation policy. Individuals, teams or spectators who violate
this policy will not be eligible to participate and could face additional
sanctions. All participants and spectators are expected and required to
conduct themselves as sportsmanlike individuals and to treat others, as
you would like to be treated.
AWARDS
Intramural Championship T-Shirts will be awarded to the winners of each
division.
RISK STATEMENT
All participants are strongly urged to have a yearly medical
examination and carry medical insurance coverage. While we provide safe
and well-supervised activities and facilities, there is an inherent potential
for physical injury or death in all sport activities. Maintenance of good
physical health can give you more peace of mind while participating. The
Student Care Center has information on insurance for students.
