CLUB PROGRAM FACILITIES AND SCHEDULES (RATNER AND HENRY
CROWN FIELD HOUSE)

- Sport Club Facility Policy
- The Assistant Chair Intramural, Recreation, Sport Club will administer
University athletic and recreational facilities using the following
principles as guidelines;
- Office of Intramural, Recreation, Sport Club and the Department of
Physical Education and Athletics will be responsible for the management
and administration of all athletic and recreational facilities.
- All buildings will be supervised by a trained building supervisor
who is familiar with not only opening and closing procedures but emergency
safety procedures as well.
- Facility requests will be considered from Sport Club and other departments
and recognized university entities.
- Groups using facilities during closed hours will be billed an appropriate
amount for building supervision.
Assistant Chair Intramural, Recreation, Sport Club will attempt, whenever
possible, to accommodate the off-hour needs of all groups with the understanding
that the Department will make a good-faith effort to secure the appropriate
supervision needed but cannot devote extra-ordinary time to seeking
out or persuading students to accommodate off-hour requests.
- Office of Intramural, Recreation, Sport Club or the Student Activities
Office will determine the appropriate rate of pay for all building supervision
depending upon the anticipated difficulty of securing student and/or
staff employees during the requested time (i.e. early morning, late
evening, or vacation hours may be billed at a higher rate because of
the difficulty of attracting employees at this time).
- Office of Intramural, Recreation, Sport Club and the Office of Student
Activities cannot guarantee off-hour access to athletic and recreational
facilities - particularly during interim breaks, vacation periods and
traditional holidays.
- Athletic Facility Request (Ratner, Henry
Crown Field House, Midway Plaisance, Washington Park)
All areas needed for practices and contests must be scheduled through
the Assistant Chair Intramural, Recreation, and Sport Clubs.
- Reservations are to be requested at least two weeks in advance. Standing
reservation times for practices should be requested at the end of spring
quarter for the next academic year.
- Clubs must have approved facility reservations in order to use any
University fields or buildings. It is recommended that all clubs have
their facility pass with them when they practice or compete. This will
assist in solving any concerns, which may arise.

- The following facilities may be reserved through the Sport Club Office:
- Outdoor Facilities: Midway Fields, Washington Park, Jackson Park
