OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The University of Chicago men's cross country team finished 10th out of 39 schools at the 2009 Midwest Regional Championship Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Sophomore Mahmoud Bahraini (Vernon Hills, Ill./ Vernon Hills) earned all-region honors by virtue of a 27th-place finish. He covered the eight-kilometer course in 25:09.
CLEVELAND -- The University of Chicago men's cross country team finished seventh among eight teams at the 2009 University Athletic Association Championship Saturday at Case Western Reserve University. Junior Nick Nunez (Algonquin, Ill./ Dundee-Crown) was the Maroons' top finisher. His time of 27:25 on the eight-kilometer course was good for 29th place out of 76 runners.
