Hello!
The first weekend of the season is complete and the Chicago Men's Basketball team is 1-1. We finished second in the Midway Classic this past weekend.
On the opening night we played a solid game against Lake Forest and won by a score of 70-59. On Sunday night we lost in the championship game to Trinity University (TX) by a score of 63-58.
Overall I felt that, while we could have played better, it was a pretty decent start to the year. I believe that we played some good competition and learned a lot about ourselves. I am eager to see how we progress from here.
Next weekend we go to DePauw for a tournament. On Saturday, November 24 we play Transylvania (KY) at 8:00pm and on Sunday we will play DePauw or Marian (IN) at 2:00 or 4:00pm.
Once again, the competition should be very good as the team faces two more strong tests. I hope to see you there if you can make it.
Thanks to our many friends, parents, and alumni who made it to the Midway Classic. The turn out was outstanding and we hope to see you again throughout the year. The team appreciates the support. Have a great Thanksgiving!
