Bellydance

Designed for beginners as well as participants with some experience, this class emphasizes the fundamental steps found in the ancient art of Bellydancing. In addition to exercising often neglected areas of the body, it promotes coordination, general toning, body awareness, agility, and self-esteem.

Boot Camp

Burn fat through aerobic exercise and build lean muscle through a circuit of drills, calisthenics, agility exercises, and obstacle course work. The boot camp training method uses your own body weight as resistance to provide quick results. It's a FUN and challenging workout for those who are tough enough to follow orders and want to pack a high-intensity, comprehensive fitness session into 45 minutes.

NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action)

NIA is an expressive movement and cardiovascular program that is inspired by several fitness disciplines from the martial arts including Tai Chi, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do; the dance arts including Jazz and Modern; and the healing arts including Yoga. NIA advocates whole-body, grounded, fun movement.

Yoga, Beginning

This class is for those who have never done Yoga and those who wish to review the fundamentals. It emphasizes proper alignment in the asanas (poses), breathing practices, and beginning yoga philosophy. Participants receive personal attention and clear, deliberate demonstrations and explanations. First-time participants are encouraged to begin with a Monday class since an emphasis is placed on teaching poses then.

Yoga II

This class is intended for advanced beginners and emphasizes the mastery of the headstand, shoulder stand, and intermediate backbends. It builds strength, flexibility, and concentration with a moderate pace. In addition to continuing an emphasis on breathing and healthy alignment, training in progressive variation poses and vinyasa (hatha) flow sequencing is included.
