Maroons Contribute to the Community
CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago football team completed a community service project this past Saturday at Washington Park, as the squad spent the day trimming trees, cutting limbs, mulching, raking, hauling branches, and removing invasive plants on several acres of the more than 100-acre park.

Chicago Introduces Class of 2013
CHICAGO -- University of Chicago Head Football Coach Dick Maloney announced today the team's incoming freshmen for the 2009 season. The 28-member class of 2013 includes 14 offensive players, 13 defensive players, and one specialist. The newcomers represent 15 different states.

Chicago Announces 2009 Captains
CHICAGO -- University of Chicago Head Football Coach Dick Maloney announced today that defensive backs Chris Leamy (Glen Ellyn, Ill./ Glenbard South) and Cory Swaim (Tinley Park, Ill./ Lincoln-Way East), who will begin their senior year next fall, have been chosen as co-captains for the 2009 campaign.

Three Maroons Admitted to NFF Hampshire Honor Society
CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior football players Frank Chor (Orland Park, Ill./ Sandburg), John Kiernan (Joliet, Ill./ Catholic) (pictured), and Jim McAnelly (Aurora, Ill./ Marmion Academy) have earned membership in the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
