CHICAGO – The University Athletic Association (UAA) named 103 University of Chicago student-athletes to the 2017 UAA Fall All-Academic Team. The eight conference schools placed a total of 587 student-athletes on the list.
All six of UChicago's fall sports were represented – football, volleyball, men's and women's cross country, and men's and women's soccer.
Within the UAA, All-Academic Recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30. The 3.30 GPA is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
