Women's Tennis

The No. 9-ranked Maroons (8-0 record) return to action at the three-day ITA Division III National Team Indoor Championship, hosted by Sewanee. UChicago is the No. 3-seed in the eight-team field, and Friday's opening match will be against No. 6-seed Washington & Lee University.

At last year's ITA Indoor Nationals, the Maroons placed third with a 2-1 record. They defeated Sewanee (7-2), lost to Pomona-Pitzer (6-3) and beat Washington University – St. Louis (5-2). UChicago won four singles matches to clinch versus WashU.

Swimming & Diving

UChicago's Myers-McLoraine Pool will be the site for the NCAA Diving Regional, which features 50 divers. Friday's events include the women's three-meter and the men's one-meter dives. Saturday will have competition in the women's one-meter and the men's three-meter dives.

Last year's NCAA Diving Regional saw Agnes Lo qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships as she placed third in both the one-meter and three-meter dives. Natalie DeMuro is coming off a strong showing at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships, where she was All-UAA on the three-meter (second place) and one-meter (third place) boards.


Women's Basketball

The No. 9-ranked Maroons (23-2 record) kicks off the NCAA postseason by traveling north to a four-team regional pod hosted by University of St. Thomas. First-round action will pit UChicago versus Wisconsin Lutheran College (24-3).

Indoor Track & Field

UChicago will participate in a pair of last chance qualifying meets as the Maroons look to improve their marks before the national meet. The Carthage College Final Qualifier will take place on Friday, followed by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointer Last Chance Meet on Saturday.

The Maroons are coming off a strong showing at the UAA Indoor Championships. The women won the team title for the fifth time since 2008. They were led by two titles from sophomore Laura Darcey and eight runner-up finishes from the squad. The men took third place and won four titles – the 4x400-meter relay, 60-meter hurdles (Patrick LeFevre), 800 meters (Joe Previdi) and shot put (Alexander Scott).

The Maroons (0-2 record) look to break into the win column with a three-game weekend set down in Greenville, Ill. They take on University of Dubuque, Greenville College and Grinnell College.

The season-opening weekend featured more hot hitting from junior outfielder Connor Hickey. The leadoff man hit .556 and scored three times. Last season, Hickey hit for a .387 batting average and set a school record with 53 runs scored.
