Having enjoyed success as a collegiate head coach, assistant coach, and player, Scott Wiercinski enters his fourth season at Chicago in 2009.

During Wiercinski's 13 years on the sidelines and on the field, his teams have compiled a record of 124-67-27 with eight NCAA tournament apperances.

Wiercinski made an immediate impact at Chicago in his debut campaign in 2006 as he guided the Maroons to a berth in the NCAA Division III tournament. With a 10-5-4 record, Wiercinski became the first of nine head coaches in the program's history to post a winning record in his inaugural season.

During Wiercinski's first two years on the Midway, the Maroons have boasted 10 All-UAA players -- including the 2007 Rookie of the Year -- as well as two All-North Central Region selections.

Prior to his arrival at Chicago, Wiercinski spent five years as an assistant coach at Brown University from 2001-05. During that time, Brown compiled a 41-31-13 overall record, collected three Ivy League championships, and earned two NCAA Division I postseason berths.

While at Brown, Wiercinski had two rare glimpses into coaching at the professional ranks. During the summer of 2001, he had the opportunity to train with the New England Revolution. While getting daily professional coaching and training, he was able to play with some of the best names in the MLS, including Steve Ralston and Taylor Twellman.

Wiercinski also had a unique look into the English Premier League when in March 2004 he and the Brown staff spent ten days shadowing the coaching staff of Middlesbrough FC. Wiercinski was able to train with the goalkeeping corps, including current GK Mark Schwarzer, observe team training, player meetings, and pregame preparations.

A 1999 graduate of Middlebury College, Wiercinski was a four-year letter winner and two-time All-New England Small College Athletic Conference goalkeeper for the Panthers. He helped lead Middlebury to a 48-10-3 overall record and four NCAA Division III tournament appearances from 1995-98.

In 2000, Wiercinski served as an assistant coach at Bowdoin College, where he helped guide the Polar Bears to a 14-2-2 record -- the best in the program's history.
