CHICAGO -- Augustana College won six of nine contested bouts en route to a 31-10 win over the University of Chicago wrestling team Wednesday night in the Maroons' final 2011 appearance at the Ratner Athletics Center.

Chicago's three victories came from senior Ryan Hatten (Florissant, Mo./ McCleur North) and freshmen Jacob Smith (Brighton, Mich./ Brighton) and Sam Pennisi (Lombard, Ill./ Glenbard East).

Hatten posted a 7-3 decision at heavyweight in the final match of the evening to raise his season record to 10-5.

Smith (pictured) and Pennisi both blanked their respective opponents. Smith, now 5-4 on the season, posted a 5-0 decision at 141 pounds before Pennisi notched an 8-0 major decision at 184.

Augustana's (7-4) two nationally-ranked wrestlers, Jacob Scholten (#14 at 125 pounds) and Alberto Quiros (#22 at 141) won by decision and major decision, respectively.

Chicago (5-8) will be idle until the Jan. 28-29 Wheaton (Ill.) College Invitational.
