Ernest Moore Promoted to Defensive Coordinator

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago Director of Athletics Tom Weingartner has announced that Assistant Football Coach Ernest Moore has been elevated to defensive coordinator.

Moore joined Head Coach Dick Maloney's staff prior to the 2011 campaign as defensive backs coach. The Maroons finished 5-5 in Moore's first season.

Moore arrived at Chicago in the spring of 2011 following stints as an assistant coach at Lehigh University (2010) and Franklin & Marshall College (2008-09).

Moore was a two-time All-Patriot League safety at Lehigh, where he graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in computer imaging.
