Carmen VacaGuzman Named UAA Athlete of the Week

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior Carmen VacaGuzman (Wyoming, Mich./ Grandville) has been selected as this week's University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for women's tennis.

In the Maroons' 9-0 win over Elmhurst College Sunday afternoon, VacaGuzman won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and teamed with freshman Megan Tang (Clayton, Calif./ Clayton Valley) to notch an 8-0 win at first doubles.

VacaGuzman received her first UAA weekly citation of the season and the second of her career.
