CHICAGO -- For the second time in four weeks, University of Chicago senior Taylor Simpson (Lee's Summit, Mo./ Lee's Summit) has been selected to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week.
Simpson averaged 19.0 points and 10.5 rebounds as the second-ranked Maroons (8-0) won a pair of nonconference games.
After collecting 17 points and six boards in an 80-36 win at Olivet College, Simpson finished with 21 points and 15 rebounds (11 offensive) in a 70-60 win at St. Mary's (Ind.) College. In the two contests, she shot 64.0% from the field.
Simpson made her third career appearance and second this season on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week, which recognizes the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week's action.
