Univ. of Chicago Men's Harriers 11th at Notre Dame,
Women Take 4th at Benedictine
Chicago -- The University of Chicago men's and women's cross country teams each competed on the road this afternoon. The men finished 11th among 18 teams at the University of Notre Dame, while the women placed fourth among 22 teams at Benedictine University.
In the men's meet, Chicago finished third among NCAA Division III teams competing in the all-Division event. Sophomore Tom Haxton (Seattle, Wash./Shorecrest) led the Maroons, finishing 19th overall and fifth among Division III runners with a time of 25:35.
In the women's race, junior Britt Lundgren (Rockford, Ill./Auburn) led Chicago, placing 21st with a time of 20:30.
