U. of Chicago Appoints Maggie Zdziarska
Assistant Cross Country, Track & Field Coach
Chicago -- University of Chicago Director of Athletics Tom Weingartner announced today that Maggie Zdziarska has been named assistant coach for men’s and women’s cross country and track & field.
Zdziarska, who recently completed her U.S. Track and Field Level I coaching certification, assumes the new full-time position after serving as a part-time aide the past two years. In that capacity, she coached sprinters and hurdlers and assisted in all phases of the administration of the cross country and track & field programs.
A 1999 graduate of North Central College, Zdziarska was a 15-time national qualifier and six-time All American sprinter and a member of the Cardinals’ 1999 NCAA Division III champion 4 x 400 relay team.
Zdziarska joins the staff of Head Coach Chris Hall, who was appointed to the position in June.
