Wins First UAA Championship
Boston -- The University of Chicago men's indoor track & field team won the team title at the 2002 University Athletic Association Championship Friday and Saturday, Mar. 1-2 at Brandeis University. Chicago, which claimed its first-ever UAA indoor track & field title, featured the league's coaching staff of the year and four individual champions.
First-year Head Coach Chris Hall and his staff were selected UAA Coaching Staff of the Year in a vote of the conference's coaches.
In all 14 Chicago athletes (listed alphabetically below) earned All-UAA accolades, including four first-place finishers:
