Univ. of Chicago's Adeoye Mabogunje Named
UAA Athlete of the Week
Chicago -- University of Chicago sophomore Adeoye Mabogunje (Tamuning, Guam/St. John's) was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for men's indoor track & field, the conference announced today.
Mabogunje won the high jump competition with a leap of 2.05 meters at the 2002 Chicagoland Championships at Lewis University on Feb. 16. He has already automatically qualified for next month's NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in the event.
Mabogunje was honored by the UAA for the third time this year.
