Chicago Defeats Illinois Wesleyan 7-0

Chicago -- The University of Chicago men's tennis team defeated Illinois Wesleyan University 7-0 in dual match competition Saturday evening.

Junior Ward Bortz (Brookfield, Wis./ Marquette) posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory at first singles to improve his season record to 17-4 and extend his winning streak to six matches.

Bortz and freshman Sasha Deriy (Bolingbrook, Ill./ IMSA) raised their doubles mark to 9-3 with an 8-3 decision at first doubles.

The win snapped a two-match losing streak and improved the Maroons' season mark to 11-4. Illinois Wesleyan fell to 0-2.
