Chicago Sweeps Benedictine

Lisle, Ill. -- Sophomore outside hitters Katie Meinhover (Ottertail, Minn./ Perham) and Erica Pettke (Sussex, Wis./ Divine Savior Holy Angels) hit 14 and 13 kills, respectively, to lead the University of Chicago volleyball team to a 30-23, 30-28, 30-28 non-conference win over host Benedictine (Ill.) University Tuesday night.

Meinhover and Pettke posted respective hitting percentages of .343 and .323, while sophomore middle hitter Emma Hamilton (Washington, D.C./ National Cathedral) finished with 10 kills and a .318 attack percentage. Freshman setter Nikki Sindy (Granger, Ind./ Penn) collected 42 assists.

With the win, Chicago improved to 4-14 on the year and won for the second time in its last four outings.
