Drops Four at Elmhurst Invite
Elmhurst, Ill.
-- The University of Chicago volleyball team went 0-4 at the Elmhurst
College Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19-20. Chicago, which
has dropped nine straight matches, now stands at 2-12 on the season.

Chicago 30-21, 30-20, 30-25
Sophomore middle hitter Emma Hamilton (Washington, D.C./ National Cathedral)
led the Maroons with nine kills and five blocks. Hamilton posted a .316
hitting percentage against the seventh-ranked Bluejays (9-2).
Kalamazoo def.
Chicago 30-24, 30-13, 30-18
Sophomore outside hitter Katie Meinhover (Ottertail, Minn./ Perham)
hit 14 kills and Hamilton collected 10 as Chicago fell to the 10-4 Hornets.
Meinhover also led the Maroons with 17 digs.
Loras def. Chicago
27-30, 30-20, 30-24, 30-23
Meinhover hit a team-high 12 kills, while freshman middle hitter Leslie
Kurkjian (San Francisco, Calif./ Lowell) hit seven kills in 17 attempts
for a .412 percentage. Sophomore libero Tracie Kenyon (Sunnyvale, Calif./
St. Francis) led Chicago with 22 digs. Loras improved to 9-4.
Augsburg def.
Chicago 10-30, 30-20, 30-25, 30-24
Hamilton collected 13 kills and a pair of blocks as the Maroons rounded
out the tournament with a four-game loss to Augsburg (2-11). Kurkjian
hit six kills and recorded a .500 percentage.
