For Immediate Release Maroons Place 18th at NCAA Division III Championship Hanover, Ind. -- Junior Erin Steiner (Western Springs, Ill./ Lyons Township) earned All-America honors as the University of Chicago captured 18th place at the 2003 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship Saturday at Hanover College. Steiner finished in 27th place among 213 runners with a time of 22:44 on the six-kilometer course. Sophomore Jessica Winter (Wheaton, Ill./ Wheaton-Warrenville South) placed 42nd with a time 23:08. Middlebury College won the event with 135 points, followed by Trinity (Conn.) College with 174 and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with 193. Chicago finished with 353 points. |
