Chicago Places Fifth at Home Invite

Chicago -- The University of Chicago women's swimming team finished fifth out of nine teams at the Maroon Invitational Saturday at the Myers-McLoraine Pool.

Sophomore Katherine Yang (Palo Alto, Calif./ Gunn) posted the Maroons' highest finish with a second-place effort in the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:41.81). She also claimed sixth place in the 400-yard individual medley (5:02.69).

Washington (Mo.) University won the meet with 965 points. Chicago collected 405 points on the day.
