For Immediate Release Maroons Place 8th at UAA Championship Atlanta, Ga. -- The University of Chicago women's swimming team placed eighth at the 2004 University Athletic Association Championship held Thursday through Saturday at Emory University. Chicago collected 107 points at the eight-team event. Host Emory won the UAA title with 1,182 points, followed by Washington (Mo.) University and the University of Rochester with 634 and 448, respectively. Junior Emily Testa (Evanston, Ill./ Evanston) turned in the top finish by a Chicago swimmer, as she placed ninth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.44 seconds. |
