November 2, 2005 CHICAGO -- Four University of Chicago fall sports teams have been ranked among the NCAA Division III top 25 in coaches polls released this week. Women's soccer (13-2-2) was ranked 13th in the Nov. 1 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll. The Maroons, who stood 14th a week ago, were included among the top 25 for the eighth consecutive week. Men's soccer (12-5) remained in the #25 position for the third straight week. Chicago has appeared in the national rankings four times this season. Women's cross country made its sixth top-25 appearance in as many weeks, dropping to 18th after earning a #14 ranking in the previous two polls.
