May 9, 2006 CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior Jessica Winter (Wheaton, Ill./ Wheaton-Warrenville South) has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for women's outdoor track & field, the conference announced today. Winter clocked an NCAA Division III automatic-qualifying time of 4:32.37 in the 1,500-meter run at the Butler University Twilight Invitational this past Saturday. Her time currently stands as the fifth-fastest in the nation. Winter received her ninth UAA Athlete of the Week award in 2005-06 and her first of the outdoor track & field campaign. She was honored four times in cross country and indoor track & field. During her career, she has garnered 15 UAA weekly citations. |
