November 19, 2005 DELAWARE, Ohio -- The University of Chicago men's cross country team finished in ninth place at the 2005 NCAA Division III Championship Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University. Seniors Teage O'Connor (Thousand Oaks, Calif./ Thousand Oaks) and Pat Hogan (Seattle, Wash./ Shorecrest) led the Maroons with 56th- and 59th-place finishes, respectively. O'Connor clocked a time of 26:50 on the eight-kilometer course, while Hogan checked in at 26:51. Junior Emil Bojanov (Sofia, Bulgaria/ Dulaney, Md.) finished in 85th place with a time of 27:06. The ninth-place finish marks the highest-ever in the program's history, surpassing last year's 16th-place performance. |
