Chicago Moves to #9 in NCAA Division III Poll

Chicago -- The University of Chicago men's cross country team climbed to ninth place in this week's NCAA Division III coaches poll.

Chicago moved up two spots from its #11 preseason position to match the highest-ever national ranking in the program's history.

The Maroons have won their first two meets of the season, taking top honors at the six-team Elmhurst College Earlybird Invite on Sept. 3 and the 12-team All-American Invitational at Luther College this past Saturday, Sept. 10.

Chicago is idle this week and set to return to action at Augustana (Ill.) College on Friday, Sept. 23.
