Maroons Ranked 19th in NCAA Division III Poll

Chicago -- The University of Chicago men's soccer team is ranked 19th in this week's NCAA Division III coaches poll, released today by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Chicago (9-2-0 overall, 2-0-0 University Athletic Association) makes its third weekly appearance among the Division III top 25 this season and its first since Sept. 13.

The Maroons won a pair of matches at home last week, including a 4-0 win over then sixth-ranked Emory University. Emory slipped to 11th in this week's ranking.

Chicago, which occupies third place in the Central Region poll, hosts UAA rival University of Rochester (10-0-0, 2-0-0) in a key conference match on Friday, Oct. 14 at noon.

The Yellowjackets are ranked fifth in the nation and first in the Northeast Region. Chicago and Rochester currently share the top spot in the UAA standings.
