May 9, 2006 CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior Ward Bortz (Brookfield, Wis./ Marquette) has been chosen to participate in the singles competition at the 2006 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship. One of 32 players selected, Bortz has posted a 17-8 mark this season. In 2005, he garnered All-America recognition as he split a pair of matches at the NCAA Division III Singles Championship. In two years at Chicago, Bortz has compiled a career singles mark of 43-18. The NCAA Division III singles and doubles championships will be held May 20-22 at the University of Mary Washington. |
