Two Maroons Qualify at Butler

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Two members of the University of Chicago men's outdoor track & field team recorded NCAA Division III provisional-qualifying performances Saturday at the Butler University Twilight Invitational.

Senior Teage O'Connor (Thousand Oaks, Calif./ Thousand Oaks) met the Division III provisional standard in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:12.74 -- currently the fifth-fastest time in the nation.

Junior Emil Bojanov (Sofia, Bulgaria/ Dulaney, Md.) clocked a time of 3:52.26 in the 1,500-meter run, which currently stands at the ninth-fastest time in Division III.
