Maroons Drop Four at Illinois

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.
-- The University of Chicago softball team lost four games at Illinois
Wesleyan University on Saturday and Sunday to fall to 11-7 on the year.

The Bears tallied three times in the top of the eighth as the Maroons
dropped their second extra-inning affair of the season. Chicago tied the
game in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI double by sophomore catcher
Vanessa Pineros (Mukilteo, Wash./ Kamiak) and a run-scoring single
off the bat of sophomore right fielder Cassie Wierenga (Worth, Ill./
