Maroons Defeat Benedictine 3-0

Lisle, Ill. -- Sophomore middle hitter Koryn Kendall (Napa, Calif./ Vintage) collected six blocks and hit at a .526 clip as the University of Chicago volleyball team defeated host Benedictine (Ill.) University 30-28, 34-32, 30-16 Tuesday night.

Kendall recorded 10 kills in 19 attempts without an error to lead Chicago (2-3) to its second win in its last three matches. Kendall has hit .500 or better in four of five contests en route to a season hitting percentage of .507.

Senior outside hitters Katie Meinhover (Ottertail, Minn./ Perham) and Erica Pettke (Sussex, Wis./ Divine Savior Holy Angels) hit 12 and 10 kills, respectively.

Junior setter Nikki Sindy (Granger, Ind./ Penn) finished with 46 assists, while senior libero Rose Kulczycki (Urbana, Ill./ Urbana) led the Maroons with 13 digs.
