For Immediate Release Chicago Places Third at Luther Decorah, Iowa -- Senior Jessica Winter (Wheaton, Ill./ Wheaton-Warrenville South) was the individual runner-up as the University of Chicago women's cross country team finished third at the 34th All-American Invitational Saturday at Luther College. Winter covered the five-kilometer course in 18:41, which was good for second place among 61 runners. Juniors Dilshanie Perera (Princeton, N.J./ Princeton) and Vidthya Abraham (Spartanburg, S.C./ Governor's Math & Science) finished 11th and 12th, respectively, with times of 19:48 and 19:53. The University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse won the eight-team event with 23 points, finishing ahead of Macalester College (49) and Chicago (63). |
