October 15, 2005 KENOSHA, Wis. -- Senior Jessica Winter (Wheaton, Ill./ Wheaton-Warrenville South) and junior Dilshanie Perera (Princeton, N.J./ Princeton) finished among the top ten individuals as the 22nd-ranked University of Chicago women's cross country team placed second at the 18-team University of Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational. Winter captured fourth place among 224 competitors with a time of 18:20 on the five-kilometer course, while Perera finished 10th with a time of 18:51. NCAA Division II member Northern Michigan University won the meet with 64 points. Chicago's 81 points were good for second place overall and first among six Division III teams. |
