December 15, 2005 EVANSTON, Ill. -- The University of Chicago wrestling team split a pair of dual matches against nationally-ranked opponents at Northwestern University on Thursday, dropping a 32-12 decision to the host Wildcats and defeating the University of Indianapolis 31-11. Junior Ben Barnes (Wheaton, Ill./ Wheaton-Warrenville South) won both of his matches, including a 10-6 decision over the Wildcats' Joseph Gulotta at 184 pounds. Northwestern entered the contest ranked 14th in the NCAA Division I. Junior Phil Kruzel (Elmhurst, Ill./ Fenwick) also posted a victory against Northwestern with a 7-4 win over Mark Graves at 174 pounds. Junior Mike Bishof (Oak Brook, Ill./ York) notched the Maroons' lone win by fall, pinning Indianapolis's Dave Burns at the 6:42 mark. The Greyhounds are currently ranked 19th in the NCAA Division II.
