November 5, 2005 CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team dropped a 114-113 decision to Illinois Wesleyan University in dual meet competition Saturday at the Myers-McLoraine Pool. Junior Katherine Yang (Palo Alto, Calif./ Gunn) and freshman Sarah Laws (Eagleville, Pa./ Methacton) each won a pair of events on the day. Yang finished first in the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle (5:31.38, 11:15.77), while Laws took top honors in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle (56.53 seconds, 2:02.89). Chicago fell to 2-2 in dual meets on the season. |
