May 4, 2006 CHICAGO -- University of Chicago freshman Vindya Dayananda (Kathmandu, Nepal/ Lincoln School) has been selected to participate in the singles competition at the 2006 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship. One of 32 players chosen, Dayananda has compiled a 19-9 mark this season. The 2006 University Athletic Association Rookie of the Year, she has led the Chicago women's tennis team to its first-ever NCAA Division III postseason appearance in 2006. The NCAA Division III singles and doubles championships will be held May 20-22 at the University of California-Santa Cruz. |
