April 29, 2006 DES MOINES, Iowa -- The University of Chicago women's outdoor track & field team recorded three top-seven finishes at the 2006 Drake Relays on Friday and Saturday. Chicago placed sixth in the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay as senior Jessica Winter (Wheaton, Ill./ Wheaton-Warrenville), junior Trina Ruhland (Golden, Colo./ D’Evelyn), and sophomores Cynthia Lin (State College, Pa./ State College) and Nofi Mojidi (Silver Spring, Md./ Bullis School) recorded a time of 4:08.18. In the distance medley relay, the quartet of Winter and juniors Jackie Kropp (Stevens Point, Wis./ Stevens Point), Nellie Movtchan (Woodbury, Minn./ Woodbury), and Alexandra Robertson (Yakima, Wash./ A.C. Davis) notched a seventh-place finish with a time of 12:10.35. Chicago also posted a seventh-place showing in the 800-meter relay as the team of Mojidi, sophomore Cynthia Lin (State College, Pa./ State College) and freshmen Lauren Nwankpa (Evanston, Ill./ Evanston) and Olivia Ndyabagye (Albuquerque, N.M./ Sandia) clocked a time of 1:44.62. |
