November 9, 2006 CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior Ben Potts (Valparaiso, Ind./ Valparaiso) has been selected to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Five Football Team. A two-time All-University Athletic Association first team pick and 2006 Football Gazette Preseason All-American, Potts was chosen to the Academic All-District first team, making him eligible for inclusion on the Academic All-America Team to be announced later this month. A history major with a 3.79 grade point average, Potts is a three-year starter at left tackle. He was an ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District second team honoree a year ago. Chicago (3-5) concludes its season on the road this Saturday, Nov. 11 when it faces Eureka College at 12:00 p.m. |
