Ben Potts Honored by National Football Foundation
CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior Ben Potts (Valparaiso, Ind./ Valparaiso) received the Collegiate Award from the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame, Central Indiana Chapter, at the Colts' Pavilion in Indianapolis this past Saturday.
The Collegiate Award is presented annually to one college senior who received a Scholar-Athlete Award as a senior in high school (the NFF annually honors 10-14 Indiana high school seniors) and who has continued to excel in athletics, academics, and service.
A three-year starter at left tackle, Potts was a three-time All-University Athletic Association selection and two-time Academic All-District honoree during his career at Chicago.
Fulfilling the goals of the National Football Foundation since 1994, the Central Indiana Chapter works with the Indianapolis Colts to play a key role in the development in the lives of young football players.
