Doug Milliken Named Assistant Swimming Coach

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago Director of Athletics Tom Weingartner announced today that Doug Milliken has been appointed assistant men's and women's swimming coach and assistant director of aquatics.

Milliken brings seven years of college coaching and administrative experience to his new post, most recently as the athletic recruiting coordinator at North Park University from 2004-06.

He previously served as assistant men's and women's swimming coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology from 2002-04 and as a student assistant coach at DePauw University from 1998-2001.

Milliken is a 2001 graduate of DePauw, where he received a bachelor's degree in communications. He earned a master's degree in recreation and sport management from Indiana State University in 2004.

Milliken joins the staff of Head Coach Jason Weber, who was elevated to the head coaching position following a two-year stint as an assistant.
