CHICAGO -- Senior Jesse Meyer (Omaha, Neb./ Bellevue West) became the all-time three-point field goals leader in University of Chicago men's basketball history as the Maroons defeated University Athletic Association rival Brandeis University 88-76 Sunday at the Ratner Athletics Center.
Meyer hit a pair of three-point baskets in the game's first 3:33 to give him 186 for his career. Andy Strommen (1995-99) held the previous mark of 185.
Chicago (15-3 overall, 6-1 UAA) dominated the game's first 30 minutes. The Maroons opened up a 46-24 advantage at the break and led 67-43 with 9:21 left in the contest.
Brandeis (13-5, 3-4) went on a 13-4 run during a four-minute stretch late in the contest to cut the Maroons' lead to 75-63 at the 3:33 mark, but the Judges could get no closer.
