January 31, 2007 CHICAGO -- After a four-week absence from the NCAA Division III rankings, the University of Chicago men's basketball team has been listed 19th in this week's poll. Currently riding a six-game winning streak, Chicago's #19 ranking marks its highest since the 2000-01 campaign. The Maroons were ranked 23rd in D3hoops.com's third poll this season and stood 20th in week four. Chicago (15-3 overall, 6-1 University Athletic Association) occupies second place in the UAA, one game behind league-leading Washington (Mo.) University. The Maroons make their first road appearance since January 14 this weekend with games at Brandeis University on Friday, February 2 and at New York University on Sunday, February 4. |
